Morten Borup Harning
Morten Harning is the Chief Design Officer at Open Business Innovation responsible
for the overall design decisions both regarding the technical architecture and
the non-technical design (such as user interface issues).
Morten Harning holds a Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction from Copenhagen
Business School. His research interests have been designing user interface design
tools and user interface design methods of use to practitioners. He was employed
as a researcher at Copenhagen Business School for a period of ten years (as
research assistant, ph.d. student and last as assistant professor). He has taught
user interface design both at Copenhagen Business School and The Technical University
of Denmark (at bachelor and master level) and at international conferences.
Morten Harning has been involved in real-life system development since 1983
as a freelance consultant and in a number of in-house development projects at
Copenhagen Business School. Specialising in design of interfaces both towards
other systems and towards the user. His been involved in the design of internet
services since 1993, and in designing higly personalised web-services since
1996. He was employed as a user interface specialist at Framfab, designing corporate
web-sites and web-based banking solutions, before joining Open Business Innovation
in december 2000.
Morten Harning is a member of the IFIP Working Group 2.7/13.4 on User Interface
Engineering and is the founder of and currently chairing the danish special
interest group on human-computer interaction - SIGCHI.dk.
